Summer is in full swing here at Second Shift HQ. In case you hadn’t heard, we just got voted Best Coworking Space in the Reader’s 2017 Best of Poll.Huzzah!

July 17: Women Who Dare – A Panel-Cast and Vision Boarding Party
Kerry Gross is a liftUPlift Ally who is bicycling across America this summer to interview inspirational women for her podcast, “Women Who Dare.”
Kerry will be in Chicago July 17-18. liftUPlift and Second Shift in Logan Square are hosting a celebratory event to welcome her to the Women Power capital of the world and give her a chance to interview our most daring and inspirational Chicago Allies.
July 21: Shared Walls by IPaintMyMind at Second Shift
Second Shift is excited to announce a partnership with IPaintMyMind, a nonprofit organization whose mission to make art accesible to everyone.
We are proud to be a host to their Shared Walls (TM) program, which offers rotating art rentals to businesses then uses that revenue to put FREE art exhibitions to underserved community spaces like schools, parks, and libraries across Chicago.
They have brighted our coworking space with an ecclectic mix of visual art!

July 28: Board Game Playtest Night
Join us at Second Shift to playtest unpublished board games that are still in development. Ben Rosset, a local Chicago game designer, will be bring in his latest creations. Learn about the board game design and development process and help Ben to improve his games by playing them and providing feedback. Ben is the designer of Between Two Cities, Brew Crafters, and others.
A fun evening for those who love the behind the scenes of game creation and love brainstorming and sharing ideas.
Other game designers are welcome to bring prototypes for playtesting and feedback as well!
